The Latin American Festival of Theater Story

The Latin American Festival of Theater of Bogota was created in 1988 by Fanny Mikey and Ramiro Osorio, on the occasion of the celebration of the 450 years of the foundation of Bogota. From the first edition, that was realised under motto " An act of faith in Colombia" , the Festival had like the one of its primary targets artistic integration of the Latin American countries before the world. The festival turned 20 years of existence in 2008 in its version number 11, his first version was realised of March 25 to April 3 of 1988. In 2006 during 17 days 2,400 artists of companies coming from 45 different countries participated from the world of the 5 continents, they appeared around 700 functions and I take the motto of " The world in escena" to that they went around 2' 600,000 spectators, the honor guest was Russia. In 2008 they participated in the Festival of Theater, originating groupings of Germany, Argentina, Australia, Belgium, Bolivia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Brazil, Canada, Chile, Colombia, Cuba, Ecuador, Slovenia, Spain, the United States, Finland, France, Greece, Guinea, Israel, Italy, Japan, Latvia, Mexico, Peru, Portugal, the United Kingdom, Czech Republic, Dominican Republic, Russia, Serbia, Switzerland, Uruguay and Venezuela. This year Channel 13 transmitted the several special and ceremony of closing. Also there was transmission by Colombia Signal.
